Ken Vincent

ken3Robert Kenneth Vincent, known as Ken, was born in Launceston, Tasmania on 25th July 1939. He moved with his family to South Australia in 1946. He was educated at a number of schools including Christ Church Anglican PS and Pultney Grammar School in Adelaide, Box Hill High School in Melbourne as well as the University of South Australia. He worked in a variety jobs in agriculture and industry, before becoming a social worker in 1969 and for almost forty years he worked with young offenders, children in care and victims of child abuse. For thirty one of those years he was a senior manager in Families SA. He is now retired.

He held a commission as a lieutenant in the Army Reserve and spent some time as an administrator in the equestrian sport. He is married to Rachel and they have one son, Richard.

He sometimes reads at  the Gawler poetry readings as well as being co-founder of the North Eastern Writers Inc.
